Enriching Lives Through
Compassion and Service
Welcome to NurseLove
Who We Are
I began this project in 2016 with a vision to create a lasting impact on children in my local community, despite having fewer resources. My commitment to nonprofit work started early, from organizing canned goods collections and UNICEF fundraisers during school days to volunteering at assisted living homes, animal shelters, and various community events.
Over the years, I’ve taken on challenges like rappelling off skyscrapers for the AZ Special Olympics, swimming with sharks for The Shark Fest from Alcatraz for hydrocephalus research, and cycling over 200 miles to Mexico, all to support different organizations. I believe in pushing our limits and pooling our strengths for the greater good.
What We Do
My aim is to inspire local community members to give back. I firmly believe that everyone has blessings or gifts they can share with others, and it’s our responsibility to support those less fortunate. Our biggest project is providing holiday activities, meals, and Christmas gifts for an American Indian children’s group home every December.
How To Help
For the past eight years, I’ve personally funded our work with NAOMI House. However, due to economic challenges in recent years, I’ve had to seek alternative funding sources. As a dedicated nurse, I’m reluctant to ask for help, but I recognize the importance of community involvement. We accept monetary donations year-round, and as a 501c3 nonprofit organization, we will be able to provide you with a tax-deductible receipt.
Currently, 86% of every dollar directly supports our causes, with the remainder covering essential organizational expenses such as storage and website management. As we expand, I envision establishing scholarships for young adults aging out of orphanages who plan to attend university. I also aim to extend our nonprofit efforts to support other local charities that align with our vision and model.
Any surplus donations are promptly directed to notable causes within the community; we do not retain funds but distribute them where they are most needed.
